So this morning you might think that the hardliners at Babalu Blog would have a few harsh words for this obvious act of pandering made even worse because Paul Ryan, the guest of honor who was enthusiastically cheered at Versailles yesterday, had been against the Cuban embargo as late as 2008.

Instead, what we get is what some might call an Ode To Pandering.

Under the post title, "Paul Ryan Walks On Freedom Road," Babalu documents [via Twitter] 30 years of "the weak and dubious" with plenty of images.

You have to do it...you have to come to Little Havana if you are a Republican trying to win the White House.

Reagan did it.
Bush did it.
McCain did it.
Even some wannabes did it.
This cycle is no exception.

For a group of folks who make themselves out to be so intransigent, so resolute, so obstinate about the people they ruthlessly attack for their positions on Cuba and those who give them nothing but lip service, yesterday was a truly breathtaking display of the duplicitous and hypocritical nature of their supposed principles.

This morning's write-up at Babalu was merely icing on the cake.
