One SFDB Editor is still getting used to the internet so I was able to collect 16 of 17 votes this month.

Sex and the Beach
"Yo Soy Hialeah: Stephen's New York Style Deli"

Sex and the Beach enlisted a little camera help from Carlos Miller and put together this winning post about a unique New York style deli in the heart of Hialeah.

Let's take a look at how the voting went...it was a squeaker...

Here's what a few of The Editors had to say about their choices.

Foodalogue:
Had to go with "I Voted". Only in Fla-la-la.

Miami Beach 411:
This month was another difficult choice. I wanted to vote for Bill and Maria, because they're colleagues and friends. I also wanted to vote for Bark Bark Woof Woof, because his post was well written and, coincidentally, he and my wife stood in the same line to vote. And I didn't want to vote for "Long Play Miami" because he has been winning way too many times, but after reading his interview with, Clarence Reid, I have to give him my vote. The way the article was formatted, along with a fresh writing style and a hard-to-get interview tells me he deserves to win. Not to mention, I feel his post was the most entertaining and newsworthy.

I also want to mention, to the writers using the default Blogspot layout, with the small font size and narrow main column, it's hard to read your stuff, and formatting is a factor for me in voting.

Blind Tastes:
I voted for Sex & the beach's post on a place I loved for 5 years - Stephen's Diner. I myself have about a dozen photos and notes for a post I wanted to write about the place but I was too lazy to get it together. Glad she was able to get er dunn. It's a great spot and full of nostalgia.

Hello, I'm Scott:
Random Pixels for me.  While all of the stories were well-written and documented well some aspect of South Florida culture or history, RP's piece just fascinated me, honestly.  I only wish it had been much longer.

HR Bartender:
Loved reading the posts focused on the history of SoFL. Especially the Clarence Reid piece. The author told a good story of the man, the music and times.

Good job, Sex and the Beach.  Very much deserved, in my opinion.
