We introduced the Misses to our favorite musical via the twenty-fifth anniversary production playing at the Cadillac Palace Theatre in Chicago through December 2.

Although Mr. M-mv enjoyed it, he was definitely a tougher critic than I because I had no problem with the brisker musical interpretation and the new phrasing, to say nothing of the employment of new technology, which has only improved the staging, particularly the flight through the sewers.

"It's a Les Mis for a new audience. It works," I maintained.

The Misses loved it.
